a) Fanny toured with him... I've played dates with him in a bunch of different cities, but never actually 'toured' with him.

b) Jodorowsky composed the score for El Topo. It was released on Apple. If you dig around you might find a copy. Dagored also put something out called The Music Of El Topo, but it's a completely different selection of tracks.

c) Compact Disctructions is some brilliant shit... and, after more than a decade, I still find myself listening to my cassette copy of Plunderphonics.

d) Never really got into it... but I've got much respect for guys like Assault.

I mean... there's some good shit out there... Acid by Ray Barreto, Maggot Brain... hell... Dirty Mind by Prince has some killer moments... and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't all about his Controversy album... but James Brown is as much of an affront to music as Brian Johnson... solid band backing him up, but the constipated buffoon up front pisses me the fuck off... and Brown is the guy that most soul aspires to be??

Perhaps I should have applied a little more affirmative action to my list... or perhaps the only color I'm concerned with when I'm thinking about music is the color of the vinyl.
